We set no advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing we store is your own choice about embedded media.

This Cookie Policy explains the small amount of storage The Star Buzz uses on your device, and how embedded video and social posts work. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
The short version
The Star Buzz is a static site. We don’t run analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking, so we set none of those cookies. The only cookie we set ourselves remembers the choice you make in our cookie banner. Separately, if you choose to load an embedded video or social post, the platform that hosts it may set its own cookies, which is why we ask first.

That’s the only cookie this site sets on its own. It holds your choice and nothing that identifies you to anyone else.
The categories in the banner
- Strictly necessary. Always on. Covers the
sb_consentcookie above, which is what makes your choice stick. - Embedded media. Off until you turn it on. Controls whether articles may load embedded video and social posts. See below.
- Analytics. Empty. We don’t use any analytics today, so there’s nothing to switch on. If we ever add a privacy-friendly analytics tool, we’ll list it here before it runs.
Embedded media
Some articles can embed content hosted by other companies, currently YouTube (Google), and posts from X or Instagram where we embed one. These embeds can set their own cookies and will see your IP address and device details when they load.
Because of that, nothing from those platforms loads until you allow it. Before you consent, we show a plain placeholder with a “Load content from …” button in place of each embed. Pressing that button turns on the embedded-media category and loads that content. You can also turn the whole category on or off in the banner or in Cookie settings. Once an embed loads, that platform’s own privacy and cookie policies apply to it.
Changing your mind
You can reopen your choices at any time:
- Use the link here or in the footer of any page.
- Clear cookies for this site in your browser, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies site-wide in their settings. If you block the sb_consent cookie, we simply won’t be able to remember your choice between visits.
Consent and the law
For visitors in the UK and EU, we rely on your consent before loading any non-essential content such as embedded media, in line with the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. The strictly-necessary cookie that records your choice doesn’t require consent because the site can’t honour your preference without it.
